GROWS Literacy Council program provides Second Language instruction and Family Literacy Programs to multi-cultural communities. Literacy and language skills build dignity and respect. Through the GROWS program, participants acquire the keys to unlocking their future, building a fuller life, and contributing to the success of the community. In addition to the programs at the Apopka Family Learning Center, GROWS operates satellite programs as part of the GROWS Workplace objectives. Our programs include:
- Literacy - Students learn the basic skills of reading and writing skills.
- English as a Second Language - Divided in different levels, students meet at the Apopka Family Learning Center.
- Workplace Literacy - Service industries and area nurseries work in partnership with GROWS to help farm workers to achieve their dreams and to speak English as a Second Language.
- Family Literacy - Students, both children and parents, are enable to learn individually and as a family the basic skills of reading and writing skills.
